A record setting 2019/2020 regular season moves to the post-season this week for the Stockbridge girls’ basketball team as they open Division 3 district play at Dansville.

The Panthers (16-4) will play Wednesday at 5:30 against the winner of Monday’s Laingsburg (13-7) and Dansville (8-11) match-up.

The other side of the bracket features Perry (10-10) against state-ranked Byron (19-1) Monday with the winner taking on Bath (6-14) Wednesday.

The championship game will be Friday night at 7:30 with the district champion moving on to the Brooklyn Columbia Central Regional against the winner of the Bronson district.

The Panthers are looking for their first district title since 2000.

QUANDARY OF A QUIRKY QUERCUS QUEST: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2. Waterloo’s chestnut oaks have
remained a mystery for over 50 years. Enjoy a leisurely nature hike with Michigan Master Naturalist Doug Jackson to
learn about these rare trees and how he began and completed his quest to find them. We will meet at the Discovery
Center for a brief presentation and then carpool to the site where we will begin our hike. Cost: $2/person or $5/family.
Eddy Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Rd. in the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea. Program limited to 20
