The 2018 Buck Bash was again a success, with at least 20 bucks and a hoard of attendees gathering Thursday, Nov. 15 outside Crossroads Church. A tent with food and hot chocolate kept hunters and friends warm.

1st and 2nd prize winners went to John Pidd and Nate Dawson, winning shoulder mounts sponsored by Larry’s taxidermy and Chelsea Taxidermy .

3rd prize went to Charles Underwood, awarded a muzzle loader, compliments of Ralph’s Gun Shop.

4th prize winner, Waylon Whitaker, took home a Yeti cooler, compliments of  Mitchell Funeral Home .

Youth 16 and under prize went to Jacob Dalton, who received a gift card to Rush Archery.

Doug Wild and his son shot two nice 10 points.

Hanging them up on the buck pole.

A crowd waits in line for refreshments.

Participants, family and friends stand around a fire to keep warm.

Others gather inside the tent and tell stories.

Judges try to figure out the best bucks.
