SCALED WINGS: MICHIGAN BUTTERFLIES, MOTHS, AND YOU!

Monroe, Michigan – Superintendent Scott J. Bentley announced today that River Raisin National Battlefield Park will assist in hosting a program called Scaled Wings: Michigan Butterflies, Moths, and You! on Saturday, June 1, running from 1pm until 3pm.

Join us for a fun day learning about butterflies and moths from Michigan, their history in the state, and what you can do in your own backyard to help them. Come enjoy local school butterfly armatures on display as well as a short film on butterflies. Stations will include caterpillars, silkworm eggs, and crafts. The grand finale is a butterfly release outside at 3pm.

The event is free and will take place at the Monroe County Historical Museum at 126 S. Monroe St., Monroe, 48161.
