The Christmas spirit was alive and well Saturday night, Dec. 19, as masked, socially distanced children and their loved ones formed a 30-foot line to see Santa at the Stockbridge Township Square Gazebo. One by one, the children stepped forward in the brisk, windless night to confide their heart’s desires to jolly old St. Nicolas. There, they also collected loaded Christmas stockings, all  thanks to the Highest Praise Worship Center.

Nine evenings earlier, on Dec. 10, church carolers sang away the pandemic blues. “Went out caroling in Stockbridge last night,” the church posted on its Facebook page. “The weather was awesome, and we had about 16 of us. Spreading joy in a year where there hasn’t been much.”
