Dear Readers,
Congratulations to Todd Schray of Grass Lake, February’s winner for Garden of the Month. This photo displays a large variety of plants flanked by metal dinosaur sculptures, the T. Rex on the left and the triceratops on the right. In the center, Saybrook juniper reflects the sunlight off its yellow branches. Grasses help make a statement here as well—Japanese Blood Grass in front of the tank and Little Bluestem in the tank—along with succulent (Flapjack) and variegated cannas. The trees pictured, from left to right, are Golden Spruce, Thuja Green Giant and Weeping Cedar. Todd’s love of horticulture is evident in all the gardens in his yard.
