Stockbridge’s Day in the Village celebration ushered in a host of events, not the least of which included the United Methodist women’s quilt display. Once again the Stockbridge Crazy Quiltersrevealed their talents at the church on east Elizabeth Street.

These generous and creative women meet every week to design, stitch and sew, using donated materials. Last year they created 118 quilts to donate to Hospice. Great Lakes Caring from Jackson distributes the quilts locally.

Debbie Wright, who made a pirate quilt for her nephew, creates quilt kits during the summer to help other quilters. Gail Horn made a quilt for a family member’s wedding. Sue Trowbridge, minister of the Methodist Church, made a quilt with fabric from Australia.
