Upcoming musical events in the area

    Hi,

Happy holiday season! We have some terrific local live music events coming up and I wanted to be sure you knew about them:

The Stockbridge Library will be hosting their annual Holiday Open House this Sunday, December 9, from 1 – 3 p.m. featuring the delightful music of Generations and some of their friends. I believe we will have the pleasure of listening to Debbie Fogel, Bob Johnson, Gary Allen, Dave Tatrow & Jeff Kressler. In addition to the music, Suzi Greenway has been tapped to provide the refreshments and there will even be a craft available to do, if you’d like. All for free!

The live music at Cravingz continues on Thursday nights. This Thursday, December 13, 6- 8pm, features my favorite musician, Paul Crandall, probably joined during the second hour by Gary Allen and Jack Falk. On December 20, Greg Adsit will again regale us with his guitar & voice from 6 – 8pm and then on December 27, the engaging Jack Falk will take the stage from 6:30 -8:30pm.

For those who like reindeer and dulcimers, the Stockbridge Library is hosting a visit from reindeer outside the library. Inside there will be hot chocolate, dulcimer music and a craft. All welcome for this free event on Tuesday, December 11, 3:30 – 5pm.

For square dancers, the Stockbridge Stompers have their monthly dance at Heritage school, tomorrow, December 8, at 7p.m. I think the entrance fee is $4?

If you like to watch and listen to little kids singing holiday songs, the Smith Elementary Holiday concert is on December 18, starting at 5:30 with the kindergarteners at the Jr/Sr High School cafeteria and on December 20, the 6th through 12th grade choirs will take the stage, at 7pm, I think.

Aren’t we lucky? I hope you have a lovely December and a happy new year!
