    SPRING WILDFLOWER FACTS AND FOLKLORE: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 1.  Enjoy an afternoon learning about many of our early spring wildflowers with retired Park Naturalist, Carol Clements.  The program will begin indoors where you will learn about identification, historical uses, botanical quirks, and fun folklore.  Afterwards, there will be an optional trail walk to look for some of these flowers.  Cost: $2/person or $5/family.  Eddy Discovery Center, 17030 Bush Rd. in the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea.  Advance registration required at (734) 475-3170, as this program is limited to 30 people.

    The Open Air Market of Stockbridge begins its 12th season on Friday, May 6, on the township square in downtown Stockbridge from 4 pm to 7 pm. Each week through October 28, we plan to set up so that we all can enjoy camaraderie and we will have a full line up of Market Music.

    This week we will have honey, eggs, rhubarb, maple syrup, granola (new), jam, bread, pies, baked goods, cookies, soaps, candles, sprays, pottery (new), art, wooden toys and Girl Scout Cookies!

    We are happy to announce that plants and flowers will be available opening day, May 6.

    Market Music from 5:30 pm to 7 pm features the Joe Summers Band, playing swing, gypsy, surf and jazz. WOW! Bring your own chair or use one of ours.

    Our Market is the only place where you can hear LIVE MUSIC every week for FREE!

    Rain Barrels will be back May 13. Kettle Corn will return May 20. Blood Pressure screening available May 13. Specialty cookies and cupcakes coming soon too.

    We open the 2022 season with FREE MUSEUM DAY as one of the many free area museums sponsored by Experience Jackson.

    We are more than farm buildings! Often a venue for historic group activities (civil war, 1771), film crews, blacksmiths, educational programs, photographers, garden groups, spinners/weavers, musicians, encampments, picnics, to name a few.

    See the farm where it happens. Tour the farmhouse, school and outbuildings. Enjoy some concessions. Docents available to answer your questions. May 7, 10 a.m.―4 p.m.
