Panthers Remain Perfect in GLAC

A huge second quarter lifted the Stockbridge boys’ basketball team to a 67-42 win over Lansing Christian Tuesday night.

The win improved the Panthers to 3-0 in the GLAC with big games against rival Leslie Friday night and GLAC leading Perry next Tuesday.

Chris Hall scored eight first quarter points to help the Panthers take a 14-12 lead after one quarter.

It was all Stockbridge from there.

The Panthers outscored the Pilgrims 24-9 in the second to take a controlling 38-21 lead into the half. Ty Ayers scored six points in the quarter, while Hall, Jeremy Pilch, and Noah Robidou each scored five to blow the game wide open.

A 16-7 run in the third put Stockbridge up 54-28 after three and they cruised to the win.

Hall finished with a team high 20 points.

Robidou added 14 points, while Ayers and Brandon Nelson scored 10 each. John Morris chipped in with seven points, Pilch five, and Brock Jones one.

The Panthers improved to 5-2 overall on the season.
